Eternity and a Day / נצח ועוד יום
נצח ועוד יום – הקרנה על 5 אבני שיש מחולקים – כל אחד בגובה של בן אדם ממוצע (הוידאו הקצר למעלה מראה את המיצב). הוידאו המוקרן הוא ערוך מתוך הסצנה האחרונה של הסרט “נצח ועוד יום” של הבמאי היווני תיאו אנגלופולוס, את הסאונד שיניתי אך עדיין שומעים את המוסיקה הנפלאה של המלחינה אלני קאראינדרו. על ידי זה שהוידאו מוקרן על אבני השיש הצופה חווה את העבודה בדרך חדשה ומשלים בראשו את החלקים החסרים שנעלמים ברווחים שבין האבנים
מה שריגש אותי בהצבה זה שאנשים שנכנסו התחילו לרקוד מול ההקרנה וכך על אבני השיש אפשר היה לראות את הצלליות שלהם בזמן שבתוך ההקרנה יש גם אנשים שרוקדים ונעלמים בתוך הרווחים (רואים את זה לקראת סוף הסרטון), הם המשיכו לרקוד גם כשהמוסיקה הפסיקה
Video projection on 5 dissected marble pieces (each piece is around the size of an average adult). I took the last scene from the film “Eternity and a Day” by Greek filmmaker Theo Angelopoulos, changed the sound but left the music of the composer and musician Eleni Karaindrou, giving the viewers an opportunity to experience the magic from the film in a new way and space (the projection is dissected visually onto marble pieces and giving the viewer a new way to experience the scene).
What most excited me were the people who spontaneously came into the room and started dancing in front of the video projection which created shadows on to the video where people are dancing and disappearing in the spaces between the marble pieces (you can see it towards the end of the video) they continued to dance even when the music had already stopped.
