Into Being / התהוות
וידאו ארט שצולם בתוך פסל של מראות חתוכות שיצרתי. כשרואים את ׳התהוות׳ יש רגעים שניתן לזהות דמות/דמויות ותנועה בינהן וזה עובר בהתרחשויות בין אור לחושך בזמן שהכל מסתובב על ציר עגול. כשהוידאו מוצג הוא מוקרן בתוך חלל חשוך לגמרי עם שטיח, חלל שיש בו פינות שניתן לשבת בנחת על כריות ולהתמסר לחוויה (פחות התאמצות של השכל ויותר התמסרות לחוויה של אור חושך וקול). בנוסף הוידאו מוקרן על קיר שבו חלק קעור וכמה שכבות דקות של רשת שנותנות לוידאו נפח ומתנגן בלופ יחד עם סאונד סראונד (5 רמקולים). תמיד שואלים אותי איך בפועל יצרתי את הוידאו ׳התהוות׳ – למעשה צילמתי דרך פסל שבניתי ממראות שבורות ואלו השתקפויות – ניתן לראות את הפסל עצמו בתמונות למטה (הפסל בקוטר של 110 ס”מ)
This is a video art where I filmed a sculpture I made of cut mirrors. When experiencing “Into Being” there are moments of figures and images moving between light and darkness while the video rotates slowly and continuously in a circle. When the video is exhibited it is shown in a pitch dark room with a carpet – a space people can sit comfortably on big pillows – letting go to the experience (to the light, darkness, and sound). Also, the video is projected on a wall that is concave and has thin pieces of netting giving a more 3D experience to the projection. The video plays in a loop and has surround sound. People always ask me how I created “Into Being” – I did so by filming through a sculpture I created out of broken mirrors – you can see the mirror sculpture in pictures below [the diameter is almost 4 feet in size (1 meter and 10 cm)]:
