״השמיעיני את קולך״ – סרט דוקומנטרי של 50 דקות שיצרתי עם מילי בן חייל, הפקנו יחד עם אתר פיוט ועמותת סנונית

סינופסיס:  בעידן בו קולן של נשים מוסיקאיות, המנהלות דיאלוג עם הטקסטים והפיוטים היהודיים העתיקים, מתחיל להתגלות –  מגולל הסרט ׳השמיעיני את קולך׳ שיחה אינטימית עם ארבע יוצרות על מקום הקול הנשי במרחב היהודי-אמוני. עלמה זהר, ויקטוריה חנה, מורין נהדר, ולאה אברהם מדברות בגילוי לב על המפגש הנשי- אישי שלהן עם הטקסטים העתיקים הללו, על השורשים שלהן ועל ההעזה הנשית-עכשווית לשאול שאלות, לפרש ולשיר את הטקסטים הללו אשר במשך שנים היו נחלת גברים בלבד. בין קטעי שירה ופיוטים קסומים לשיחה על קול, השראה, נשיות ושורשים, נע הסרט הזה ואיתו צולל הצופה אל מרחב עתיק יומין אשר מתחדש ומתקדש

“Let Me Hear Thy Voice” is a 50 min documentary film that I produced and directed together with Mili Ben Hayl. It was co-produced with Invitation to Piyut as part of the Snunit Center.

Synopsis: After generations of silence, more and more women dare to give their own personal and musical interpretation to ancient Jewish texts – a territory known only for men. The film “Let Me Hear Thy Voice” unravels an intimate conversation with four talented female musicians – Alma Zohar, Victoria Hanna, Maureen Nehedar and Lea Avraham who open their hearts and speak about their personal experiences, inspiration, femininity and Jewish roots. Combined with beautiful musical segments, the film gives the viewer an opportunity to dive into an ancient space that is still ever-changing.
